That's pretty much what I have done. The real test will be a long road trip, but after seeing what my kids inflicted on my last car I don't even want them thinking about food in this one.

I am using a Hopkins EMIC-BLA Euro Mini Console (Black) $8 on amazon as temporary insert which is the perfect size. It just squeezes in the space on the back seat floor area under the rear vent, so that it doesnt move around.

I have three little stompers under 13, so door mount collapsible a must, after looking
at multiple I settled for this Kraut to match the interior quality, I will use double sided
3M silicone tape to attach to the door panels:

That's an interesting solution. I'm curious as to how well does adhesive hold up to the weight and directional changes of a full water bottle with driving and temp changes?

Yes, I worked with the gentleman who is a 3-D printer and we made up in a plastic prototype first. Then followed it up with this model. He is working on a few other changes but should be making some in the next two weeks that he will be putting up for sale. He's doing them with standard cupholders as well as LED holders for those who want them to light up.
