Rear Glass Sunshade

I just noticed that there is a rear glass sunshade available on the Tesla shop:

Model 3 Glass Roof Sunshade

Hadn't seen it before and assuming it's new as I didn't find any threads regarding it, but interested in opinions if anyone has it already. Thanks!

Love the front sunshade, but don't really need the rear one since there's rarely anyone in the backseats. Also a bit concerned that it will diminish the already not so great rear view in the Model 3 further.

This was sort of what I was wondering too, if anyone actually had one, how it affects the rear view.

It's been out since prior to xmas. I can understand why it's more than the front one, but I wonder how well it will stay in place. Is the return policy with Tesla any good?

I haven't bought it yet, just don't want a 100$ (with tax) thingy lying around in the garage.

Mines never been out of the bag and I’ve gone through a Texas summer. You don’t need it for heat, anyway.

Hi - can you drive without the roof sunshade falling off ? I saw it says it comes with clips, but wasn't quite sure how they attached.

The front sunshade firmly wedges into the gap between the frame and the glass roof. No risk of it falling out. I would probably stay in place even without the clips.

I have the rear sunshade and like it. I can see out through the rear glass perfectly and it provides privacy from the outside. It clips in securely and I think it looks better than the mid window rear tint. I'll take pictures tomorrow.

Thanks! I was still a bit on the fence about it and was almost hoping for a negative review of it to dismiss it... but now I may have to get one come spring.

We have it, and the front sun shade, and
like them alot. Costs less than permanent window tint, and being removable they also fold up and store flat in zippered storage bags in the trunk or frunk. Great utility, and they make the overhead windows look tinted.

Thanks! I was considering one instead of tinting, and it looks like this will fit the bill.

I purchased the shade and did not like it. The shade had gaps around the edges and the clips were cheesy. I returned it. As others have stated, it isn't really needed.

Here are a few pictures, but I think it is more noticeable in the pictures versus driving/in person. It basically seems like the window is tinted.

I installed both the front and back screens. I like them. They looked fine and I thought might add some protection against the long term effects from the sun on the interior over the years. Once installed, no one has really noticed them much. I agree that they don't stand out as much as in the pictures.
