Rear Hatch Latch Cover Stuck

Anyone know how to release the rear hatch latch cover in the body? See photo below. It has stuck down before but popped back up in its own in the past. I can’t see or feel a release lever on the sides.

Sigh, nevermind. I started investigating how to take apart the door frame hardware, and when I lifted up on the edge of the metal panel next to the stuck hatch, it popped up. I tried repeating the stuck condition and pulling up on the metal trim, and the hatch popped free each time.

So it goes.
