Rear liftgate hatch weak? won't open/hold open

Wondering if there's an adjustment, or my gas shocks are just weak? My rear hatch opens really slow and when it gets to the top, it drops back down 3 inches, I can't get it to hold open all the way.

I have service scheduled soon, but wondering if theres an adjustment or stronger gas shocks I need?

Interesting. I'm having the same issue with the "frunk" on my 2022 MYP delivered in March. When I open it, the struts only hold it open about half way. If I lift it fully, it just falls back to half open. This started about a month after delivery, and I need to input a service ticket...

What makes you think this is a universal problem? It's probable that the hydraulic pistons are defective in your car. Tens of thousands of them are manufactured, there will be random failures. Normal in any manufacturing process.
