Rear Seat Backrest Lock for Safe Trunk Storage

I know about the 3D printed parcel shelf tethered Model 3 Etsy iteration, but need some ideas for the MS. I am tempted to just pour silicone into the pit and
cover with electrical tape but anyone know a better solution short of drilling into the lever? Anticipated thanks.

Kinda barbaric, but should work with one on each side high up under the parcel shelf. Will let you know about the install, may have to drill holes a bit to accomodate automotive tabs.

OP, so this is a “permanent” mod then, ie you can’t put the seats down after? Do you routinely keep valuables in the trunk? To me, the stickers will prob do the most to have a potential thief move on.

They unlatch from the trunk allowing backrests to go down.

The false bottom trunk may be the safest place, especially with a trunk liner and a storage organizer box above it.
