Rear tints

Today I got my rear windows tinted. After much debate and reading in here I went for just the rear doors and small area behind them and left the rear screen as it is. So far, I love it. Perfectly matches the wife’s factory finish and have a lifetime guarantee. The guy described himself as the place everyone in the southwest goes to for having their tinting their Tesla.

What do you think? (Not the best pics….)

Of course. It was done by Chris at top tints. Window Tinting Gloucester, Cheltenham, Stroud | Glass Tinting


Clearly too early for a decent review but will update over the coming weeks / months. It was done at a facility at the owners home and you gotta be brave to do a crap job and invite people to your house to do it.

He reiterated a lifetime guarantee so fingers crossed

£140 for what I had done which was just the rears - not the back screen. He said his last few Tesla had all done the same. I quite like it

What’s the big issue with tinting the big rear window?

Is it just awkward to access?

I believe it’s awkward, huge and lots of electrics in the pillars around it which if not done perfectly can die if subjected to water (which is needed to apply a tint.

That's a sensible price, some people charge special rip-off prices for Tesla's.
