Rear View Mirror Mount

    The review mirror on the Model S has an unusually large mount. It might just house the ambient light sensors, but thought it might have other functions (e.g future location for ACC or Lane Departure sensors). Anyone seen tech manuals or have any info?

    No info, but you can see a sensor in the top right corner when you look at the windshield (driver's side).

    Isn't that the rain sensor for the wipers? I highly doubt there Auto Cruise Control or Lane Departure sensors installed and waiting to be activated...

    My DS told me it housed the rain sensor. It would make sense for it also to have the ambient light sensor.

    That's correct. It has the ambient lighter sensor as well.
