Rearview mirror always dark at night?

I took delivery a few days ago. At night rearview mirror is just constantly pitch black, doesnt dim only when I have lights behind me. I can be driving up a windy road where its dark with no cars anywhere around me and its pitch black, I cant even make out where the back window is in it. During the day its perfectly fine non dimmed.

Is this normal? Should it only be dimming when there is a car behind me? Or does it dim with ambient light (like the touchscreen) ?

Good question, I have been wondering if my mirror is dimmed during the day. Mobile service is due tomorrow, I plan on asking them....

It’s been a complaint on every Tesla.

My X seems dark all the time. Fine for during the day but a bit dark at night.
