Rearview Mirror

I’m in Florida so we only use it when the rear window clouds up, usually at night. It seems like it takes forever for it to clear up although it’s hard to notice with the rear view mirror so dark at night. Does anyone else experience this? All my other vehicles, you would see it starting to clear immediately.
