    Congratulations!

I'm trying to talk my mom into a 5-seat version :) (2 model X's in the family would be awesome)

Welcome to the club. Ours - blue exterior/white interior is still rattlinggliding around the Valley of the Sunstroke; be headed back to Alaska in about a month.

    What color is yours?

I just installed the Tough Pro set of mats I purchased on Amazon. They look and fit really great. 61XOk3GYYvL._SL1417_.jpg

Now, can u order the 3rd row seats with the 5 seater? It looks like it would fit and we would get full fold down and 7 seat capacity.

No, you cannot order an X with the fold flat second row seat style and the third row seats. Look at the configuration page Order a Tesla Model X | Tesla

Maybe one day. Until then, I wait.

Likely you will wait a long time. There would be no way to access the third row seats.

Can't you just fold the 2nd row seat and climb over? I did that at the showroom and it works, even if somewhat awkward.

I doubt if "somewhat awkward" would go over very well, or they wouldn't have designed and put in the "work of art" seats in the first place. The whole selling point for the falcon wing doors was ease of entry, and if that is gone they might be perceived as a mistake.

@azbob how deep is the "sub-floor" behind the bench seat?

i was thinking that it was 6-8" deep?
