I ordered on May 8th and was given a May 29th - June 18th delivery window.

Whats everyone's feeling on taking deliver the last week of the quarter (June 28-30)? Likelihood for screw ups seems high since they are running around delivering tons of cars.

Last time I took delivery of a Tesla was December 2017. No one was in the showroom, I had two delivery specialist helping me, and they gave me a bunch of free stuff

I started to get impatient and began poking around the used inventory on Telsa.com. OMG the prices are well...ludicrous indeed! No MY's
but plenty of MX's. There's a 2018 "previously repaired" Lud mode car in NJ (2 seasons of snow already) with 26k miles on it for $91k. LOL!

Stats: ordered 4/2, Red MYP. So, I had a first: I always have revolving dates 20 May- 9 Jun, 24 May - 10 Jun, etc... but today my estimated delivery window showed 5-9 weeks. So, if all the chatter about Tesla building P's first, I hope this is true, we should, should be close to VINs. Crossing fingers this is deliberate change and we'll get the whoop whoop text-"you a have a VIN", LOL!!

I asked the orders email about why my date changed from an actual range to nothing. This is the response.


Thank you for reaching out. Your order is currently awaiting a vehicle to be assigned, all delivery profile tasks have been completed. We anticipate that current orders should anticipate a delivery within the month of June. So folks - I'm getting a little flummoxed here - my estimated dates disappeared from my account yesterday. I emailed my local Order Support
and they replied back saying my delivery windows is currently the end of May. Problem is now that I leave for Hawaii on May 30
for a week. I understand you have 3 days to accept delivery or they punt you from the VIN and you go to the back of the line.

Is this really the case? They have to have some options to acommodate people in situations like mine?

First, there is no guarantee that your call will actually be ready by the end of May...until you have a VIN, all of this is a crapshoot. But if it turns out that your number comes up while you are gone, you really do only have the three-day window that they give you. This happened to me with my original order: I was out of town at the end of March and had to punt, and now I'm back in the queue and still waiting.

Your mileage may vary (as they say) so perhaps you can be more persuasive than me. Good luck.

Great and i just got work orders to travel a bunch in June and July. Now I am wondering if i should hold off on the delivery, or get the car and just let is sit for 1-2 months. Argh.

The Estimated Delivery in my app chagned today from May 29 - June 18 to now 6 - 10 weeks from order placed date. My order was placed April 23.

I just got an email from the Devon, PA dealership last night asking me to register for the “Virtual Orientation NJ/PA/DE Invitation (Monday 5/17)” I hope that’s a good sign that the car is being delivered soon! Still don’t have a VIN though

I will be buying a Model Y, Long Range (MYLR), white, white, 19", tow. Because of financing, I can't do the loan until after mid-July. I'm 90 minutes from Fremont. I know that California deliveries seem to occur towards the end of the quarter (June). Teslarati claims that this quarter is already allotted (Mar-Jun).

Any advice on the soonest I could place an order to ensure delivery AFTER mid-July ? Then I have to make sure that I'm within my loan's 8-week window, which starts (when?)

Ordered MYP, Black/Black, Tow hitch, FSD on 4/1, changed to midnight silver on 4/19, Dallas TX - the sales rep said that switching the color wouldn't hurt my timing, but reading this forum it seems like it did

4/1: 5-9 weeks (May 6-June 3)

4/19: May 1 - May 12 (after I changed my color from black to midnight silver)
