recommendation for NVX audio installer in the bay area?

looking to upgrade our audio and after sifting through the forums it's seems like the Model S Boost Kit from NVX is the way to go. has anyone used a good installer in the bay area (preferably east bay) that is familiar with NVX and Teslas? recommendations are appreciated!!

Hello,

Like you, I was looking for an upgrade. I did not have a sub, so I went out a bought one from NVX. Although it sounded great, I wanted a little more, as I am into hi - end audio (i.e. high resolution / uncompressed music).

I saw a video a few months back of a Tesla upgrade. I was blown away and made the trip the installer (that is in Virginia) for a visit. I spoke with the team and decided that I cannot do everything at once, so I had the NVX speaker removed and replaced with an Illusion Carbon C10 subwoofer. I must say that the Illusion sounded much better than the NVX.

For more info on my thought process and a video of my new sub you can find it

Good luck!

Custom install, built box, amp, custom lighted "T" (that I wanted - because I have the lighted T and the lighted appliqué on the outside of the car), 4 days in the shop. At night that lighted "T" is very bright as it stands out; it's my main source of light in the trunk. One would never think that there is a sub is behind it.

Somewhere between $1,000 - 4,000.

thanks for the recommendation! unfortunately my budget isn't quite as big as i would like, so i'm limited to an off the shelf sub most likely, nothing custom.

any other recommendations for good audio installers in the bay area??

Wow. I know that Virginia dude is the bomb if you want that 35k custom system. but for just a sub install, or even better, a complete upgrade, not sure. I spent "between $1000 and $4000" on a complete Reus system (sub, amps, crossovers, pillar tweeters, behind the mirror spray tweeter) - did this on top of UHFS. While I doubt it is as good as the 35k system, it is amazing. I have a studio at home for recording/mixing (fully treated room B&W reference system), but my Tesla system is better and I use it for my final reference checks.

While I know my first stop after delivery should have been the ceramic coat and PPF, instead it was the drive to L.A. to have this system installed (then I got the ceramic coating and PPF).

But I don't have a lighted T -- just amazing tunes.

They'll do it. Talked to them about it. They also recommended another solution (forgot the speaker vendor name) that costs a bit more but they feel is a lot better.

thanks @Venomboy, I just called them and actually he referred me to two other guys since he is too busy to do electronic installs anymore - Dan @ Walnut Creek Customs and Dave @ Sound Innovations. one of these should work out so thanks again for the referral!

I am in Lewes, Delaware (no sales tax!) at SoundFX. I have done a ton of Tesla's throughout the area and even some that have been shipping in across the country. I recently left my old employer at Safe and Sound and now reside at Sound FX. Let me know if you have any questions. I built a subwoofer enclosure for @artisjr who commented in this thread. Here is a link to the job I did for him.

Here are a few others of note that I have done.

I have done plenty of full systems at all price points($3,000 on up)
