Recommended Tesla Powerwall + Solar installers?

Hi everyone! I am in the early stages of building a new home and we do want a maximised solar system with Powerwalls. I put in a Powerwall request through the Tesla website and unsurprisingly, after a month, I have not heard anything back besides the initial automated email. So now I'm looking for recommendations for reputable installers for solar + Powerwall systems, has anyone installed a system recently and can recommend an installer I can get in contact with? Thanks in advanced!

/edit, In case its not clear, I'm located in Sydney, NSW, Australia.

I'll leave it to others to comment on Powerwall support and service, along with the economics of installing a battery.

I used the following resource to a) learn a lot about Solar, installation, and what my requirements were and b) organise for three quotes.

My tip from having gone through the whole process in September last year, when they quote you an installation make sure that they also confirm whether they have all of the hardware in stock.

Hold out until the battery chemistry changes to LFP. Degradation on the current design doesn't bode well for long life

If you want LFP now, get a Sonnen battery. I've had mine since late 2019 and recently had it expanded from 10 to 16kw which is the maximum. The Sonnen gets the job done but has no wifi, so required an Ethernet cable to be run. The powerline adapters were totally useless and needed constant power cycling.

I went with Springer Solar in Brisbane which was a recommendation from Tesla. Installed PW3, Panels and for free they installed my wall charger once i recieved. Was seamless and after hour support/questions have been excellent.

Check on telsa website under Powerwall may have recommended installers.

Like others here, I strongly suggest going with a specialist solar installer who also does PW2 and ideally has them in stock, and don’t go through Tesla.

I used SolarPro based in Allambie Heights and they were excellent and I can’t recommend them highly enough (they may not serve all areas of Sydney though). I had a technically very difficult install due to the height and pitch of my roof (some companies refused to even quote on it), and they have their own installers. They also had PW2s in stock since at that time they were installing about 1 per day so had a regular pipeline of deliveries from Tesla coming through. Once I hit the “go” button with them it was just a 3 week wait for them to schedule me in and no wait for the PW2.

Their post-sales support has been very good too. My SolarEdge inverter died after only a month and it was replaced under warranty. Then the PW2 Gateway died after 2 years and it too was replaced under warranty.

There are some very large national solar companies that you’ve probably seen advertised, some of which are OK, but I think they generally subcontract out the work.
