Anyone seen this before? It's happened on two different occasions. A simple centre console reboot solves it. Graphics memory issue perhaps?

Perhaps it is the Russian edition of Version 6?

That is seriously weird. <-- Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Firmware v5.12? It seems to have caused a few weird screen problems.

I had this happen to me too on just one occasion. But instead of red I had blue blocks. Like you, a reboot took care of it and it has not returned. This happened to me on the first variant of 5.12 I had installed at the Marietta Service Center on 1 July.

It was a 5.12 bug.. they've patched 5.12 (new sub version I can't remember) which hopefully fixed it.

    Nope. 5.11.

I guess it was in 5.11 as well. Seems like a rare problem, though. I'm surprised more haven't reported it.

I too have seen this before on my car. This was back when I had version 5.11. Took a photo just for giggles. Reboot cleared the issue.

I had this happen twice in 5.11. Emailed service center and they asked me to bring in the car to update to 5.12.

Same here. Twice on 5.11. Forced reboot cleared it up.

Has happened to me a number of times as well -- as others have said, it does clear up with a reboot.

The red blockiness happened to me on 5.12 (1.64.26 I think) this past weekend. And generally I've had to reboot every week or so lately. I'm really looking forward to 6.0... :)

I think the culprit is the browser depending on the web sites visited that requires rebooting from time to time. In my case the voice recognition turns flaky first.

That exact thing happened to me yesterday. I was exiting a parking structure into brilliant sunshine and the screen did that at the same time the auto headlights turned off. Weird.

Like me everyone else here, I did a screen reboot which cleared it. I'm still on 5.11.
