Does anyone know why the black trim under the bumper is so low that it is very close to ground. Or is that optical illusion?

Also for the person who too these pics, did they get any sense of M-Y dimensions? vs M-3? How high, how long/wide?
 
I took the pictures. Yes, the tires were as described. Having it parked next to a low slung 2020 Roadster prototype made it look very tall.

I own a Model 3 and Y looks significantly taller but the proportions still look great. It really does come across as a taller Model 3

Well Y is a ‘compact’ SUV and 2020 Roadster is roomy for a Roadster, and they both look well proportioned to the task. Personally I wish the new Roadster was a little smaller. I think many many people will like the size of the Y
