Reduced power - car wouldn’t drive

First time posting here. I was at the grocery store today and the car sounded like anti lock brakes applied in the middle of the road and then a turtle warning appeared saying reduced power, exit and renter vehicle to start driving again. Didn’t work and I was stuck blocking a lane in the parking lot for an hour while waiting for a tow. Has this happened to others? Extremely disappointed and felt helpless with my model y sitting in the lane with no way to engage neutral to even push the vehicle out of the way. I have owned the car for 9 months with no issues but this has me pretty concerned to shut down out of nowhere. Seemed dangerous to bot allow me to pull over.
