Referral discounts for Model 3?

Howdy !

After unsuccessfully waiting for a reasonably priced CPO S with AP, I got frustrated and ordered an M3 yesterday

I know Model S & X buyers can use referral codes from other owners and get $1000 discount. Is this true for Model 3 also?

What if I already own an 'S' and have a referral code?

Referrals do not apply to model 3. Only new and new inventory S and X. Oh and the $1000 ended in Oct. 2017. Now you can get free supercharging and possibly $500 Tesla credit with a referral code.

Note that 3 owners will now get a referral code but it's only good towards those purchasing an S or X (or solar). The 3 backlog will take so long to eat through, there's no telling when or if ever it will apply to them. A couple of years from now, things may be completely different!

No, the referral codes giving free supercharging only apply when purchasing an S or an X.
