referral issue

My friend gave me a referral code. Just found out my referral code won't work - too late apparently should have provided it on order. But I ordered through zenith company scheme.

Tesla said before they would do it later as zenith were on lockdown and everything was on hold. I've also had two RN codes in the process. Is there anything I can do? Car comes on Thursday.

Nothing you can do except cancel and reorder. Tesla are super strict about referrals.

Oh well, my decision to get the Tesla wasn't predicated on getting some free supercharger miles anyway. A bit annoyed by Tesla's customer service so might complain on principle.

Good luck with that...they don’t have a complaints department and they don’t know the meaning of the words ‘customer service.’

See of you can get contact details for Edinburgh service centre - they seem to be the pretty much the only place where, in the past, referral codes seem to have been retrospectively added.

tbh, 1000 free supercharger 'miles' (is actually billed as 400kWh) that expire after 6 months is only worth about £96 and if its just a free alternative to home charging, then maybe only £20. imho I'm not sure the frustration of dealing with Tesla is worth it.

It's also an entry to the monthly free car and that makes it worth it.

Do you only get the car for 6 months - or until they come in the middle of the night and give it to some leasing company?

thanks everyone for your advice - will give Edinburgh a try. As mentioned the free miles are not that valuable but didn't know about the car comp - that would be worth having

I lost out on 5000 free miles. I shrugged it off at the time but it bugged me everytime I charged. Tesla have a special way of underlining it by permanently showing on screen that I paid £11.52 last time I charged.
