The glass roof is really the only glass present that has any UV rejection in it. adding UV tint on top, however, does a kick-ass job of adding a TON more cooling.

Refresh Model S Tint / PPF / Ceramic Photos & Info

Regarding Suntek Reaction film - I was going to go that way originally, but was encouraged not to by my installer. They said that after meeting with Suntek they determined it wasn’t worth the premium. Their reasoning was that:
1. The ceramic coating on the film is not a lifetime product
2. The ceramic coating on the film does not include UV protection, which standalone ceramic coatings do
3. There is no evidence for how the pre-installed coating will behave down the road when you have new coating installed over it. (Will it haze? will it be splotchy?)
4. Unless you’re going for a complete edge tucked install on the entire car, You’d end up with parts of your car with/without ceramic coating
5. It costs more
In the end I took their advice and went with Suntek Ultra on the entire car with a separate ceramic coating applied over the top. Happy with the results.
Keep in mind, I’m no expert. Just passing along the info I was given.

Thanks! I'll keep that in mind when I start shopping tomorrow. I won the car lottery and got a VIN and text to schedule delivery both this morning. Even though I could schedule delivery of my car as early as Monday morning, I scheduled it for this Wednesday because of my work schedule AND to give me some time to call some PPF and ceramic places in Orange County.
If I don't do Suntek Reaction (which based on your points I am leaning against), I will probably just do a full frontal PPF with ceramic and then powder coat the 19" wheels black.
Also, a big thank you to @WiLz for sharing his list of Orange County tint, PPF and Ceramic places. It's a huge head start and helps me avoid reinventing the wheel.
I think doing the front with a quality PPF, the ceramic coating the whole car is a solid plan. The only thing I would suggest you think about is what to do with the rear quarter panel area. I washed my car yesterday and of course drove through a construction area where they had dirty water on the road. The dirty/muddy water does a good job of showing what area is prone to having debris thrown at it. If you don’t protect this area, it’s going to get pelted with rocks pretty quickly I think. The car comes from the factory with a small piece of PPF pre-installed there. It’s not big enough. I wouldn’t have been surprised if today’s construction zone had left a few little paint chips if I didn’t have a full PPF on the car.
I'm noticing the lack of blue Model S (refresh) on this thread! Do yall not want to get your cars done? I'm getting my done here in the Bay Area and will post if more blue owners find that helpful

Thanks. Sounds like good advice. I called some local detailers and quickly visited a few. The one that had Suntek Reaction also recommended the full frontal PPF and ceramic.
When I asked about Reaction, he said if you just did the front and were planning on getting ceramic on the rest of the car, he wouldn't recommend it because it is more expensive.
He also had the similar advice re: wrapping the whole car in Suntek Reaction as your installer. He emphasized that it is really good but he said it is substantially more expensive (after seeing the quote, I agree) and they didn't have as much experience with it as the normal PPF because it is so new.
Since his shop could also powder coat my wheels and get it done while I am out of town next month, I didn't mind spending a little extra so I could minimize the time the new car will be in the shop. @Cysco

I just drove past an MSM refresh. I tried to pull along side to give him/her a thumbs up, but the windows were tinted so dark that I couldn't even see if there was someone in the car! Looked awesome, but something that seems like it would catch the attention of law enforcement.
Aegis in Dublin CA - they offered a pretty competitive price, and blew out some of the more ridiculous like 9K plus offers. I went with a full PPF Wrap, with Ceramic Pro coating, and they threw in a full interior detail for free + 10 YR warranty. I thought it was pretty good, but i'm new to all of this. I just love how they took the time to explain everything to me, gave me a full tour of their facility, all the materials they used, and showed me multiple teslas they were working on, talked with their tesla "specialists" and showed me a similar Model S Blue to mine being done, and how it would look when finished. F Me! I just went thru 17 pgs of this thread. Now, I see that @WiLz reposted the orig .xls spreadsheet once again! (Palm slap to forehead). I did learn a bunch tho and am so excited to get that dang car already.
I am using the basic template of the .xls sheet to change out info for Nor Cal/Sacto PPF dealers. I'll post here when I've completed. Could be a while, I do have a f/t job, besides just lurking/reading /learning here on TMC.

You may not have to paint the letters. If the applique is the same as the pre-refresh, than you may be able to buy a set of chrome letters and put them in yourself. If you don't like it, you can go back. There are youtube videos and how to remove the letters. Just look for lighted applique.
I thought the entire letters and the black piece is all one single piece that cannot be removed? I'll check the videos
