Does anyone know when your app changes before delivery? Mine still on the “welcome to the Tesla family” screen so was wondering when it changes over.

Just asked this in the interface forum. Was told by one that it will be when you link the car.
It changes when you pay for it, and then accept delivery of the car.
Man you got yours before me. Ordered 12/28 East Bay area. SA says I should get mine by end of the month

Mine changed when the driver left the service center on the way for home delivery. I was able to track them driving to me. I had not yet accepted the car/delivery on the Tesla account site. I was always told it would be after accepting delivery, and that’s what the delivery specialist thought to, but I had acess before.

I noticed my app was updated with my car when I arrived at the pick up location, even before I accepted the delivery in my account.
Lots of former/current bmw owners in this thread.... I don't want to derail this thread - can someone who went from a recent performance bmw, pm me. Just want to pick your brain since I'm going in the opposite direction.

Has anyone tried charging on the wireless charger pad? It seem slow to me but I don't typically charge by this method and was wondering if it might be my case or some low amp hookup?
Wireless chargers are generally slower.

My wife has a 2017 Audi A4 (FWD) and the torque steering in some driving situations is noticeable, although the suspension and other things about that car are terrific.
I also did not notice torque steer during my short Tesla test drive, but I'm hoping the M3P I pick up later this week does not have torque steer.

It’s delivery week for me!! After 3 years of longing for a Tesla, going back and forth 100 times, it seems surreal. I’ve never been a car person and have driven 10+ year old cars my whole life.
But I turn 37 next week, am moderately comfortable from a financial perspective, and finally took the plunge on 1/31 and ordered the M3P. Call it a almost-mid-life crisis?
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed reading all the posts here and can’t wait to add my pictures soon! Cheers!

And something I wrote on another site:
- M3 has noise insulation material is removed to save weight. The Tesla 3 is actually quieter on the inside. It's louder inside than my previous 340i.
- Handling on the Tesla is in-between my previous 340i and my current M3. Steering is more numb in all settings, feels "digital" if that makes sense. The BMW M3 chassis is just superb, you can feel everything that's going on with the car and what wheel is losing grip. I'll really miss that.
- Brakes are way worse on the Tesla 3 Performance. Like I felt they were broken. That's one thing I'll miss on the M3. Saved me from an accident today actually when someone cut me off.
- Speakers are better than anything BMW offers.
- Seats are comfortable enough on the Model 3 but don't hug you like the M3.
- Acceleration and torque is no comparison. Makes my M3 feel like a slug.
- I'll miss the HUD, especially for infotainment functions, but you get used to the speed display on the center console.

My Galaxy Fold charges at Fast Wireless Speed so I think it's pretty good

From what I can gather, the M3P is crazy balanced, especially for an EV. 0.95 on th skid pad is no joke, and tbh, other than the most sporty of the high end ICEs are heading to digital steering.
Im coming from a 2009 CTSV (basically an American M5)... when it was produced it was the fastest 4 door on the planet around the Nuremberg circuit.
This thing (from my test drive, haven’t picked it up yes) crushed that car on all accounts, maybe sans a tiny tiny bit of steering feel. It’s way faster and the AWD lets you do things coming out of an apex that would send the back end of my V flying.
It’s also easier and more planted as a daily driver, and the AWD is HUGE in that regard when I’m living in NYC with several inches to several feet of snow depending on the year.
I won’t lie, if you are buying the car 100% purely for sheer performance and driver experience, then you can certainly argue better cars exist... but not at this price point. The new M3 BMW STARTS at nearly 70k, guzzles gas, and you will undoubtedly want to check some options boxes that take you into that 80-90 range fast plus the extra 2-3k a year in gas. If I wanted to spend 90 on a car I’d look at the new S or a Taycan S or similar.
For a sub 60k car, it’s in a class of its own. In every possible category. And as a daily driver? I don’t see what you can possibly say beats and M3P at this moment in history.

Did your CTS-V not have a LSD?
Also those of us shopping for $70k cars probably shouldn't be worrying about gas costs. If so probably shopping in the wrong segment.
