I had an update to download but appearance didnāt change and functionality the same. iPhone app.
Edit: saw the update. Expired financing caused the issue.

Good to know, I was thinking a big batch of Vin's go out first thing in the morning then done for the day. So I guess I'll keep refreshing until I pass out

Theyāve gotta be waiting on a few key parts. Thatās a ton of cars and we would be seeing VINS dropping non stop on this forum despite us just being a small neurotic subset of the owner population.
whats the wide open guess of current production backlog on the X? 20k cars?

When did you get the vin and when did you lose it? I have a vin but keep waiting for the same thing to happen to me.

Well, what do we know? We know that there's got to be a progressive ramp up starting at a fraction of full production, which is part of what's occurring now. It's fairly clear that missing/AWOL parts are part of the issue along with some kind of software problems. We don't know the extent of the missing parts, nor how much is being produced. We have seen more VIN assignments and actual deliveries in the past week or so according to this forum as well as other social media sources. Backlog - who knows, but probably more than 20K since they've stopped taking orders from the EU. Peak production in the past was just shy of 30K (2018 - US only).
Essentially, we're left to guess on a number of variables which cannot be properly quantified, so sure, your guess is as good as any right now. Tesla is a blackbox in terms of order of deliveries, so just hold your finger up to judge the wind - at least that has reliability. EDDs are useless indicators - heck, even getting VINs seem to be errant since some are having them retracted. Hope seems about the only thing holding reservation holders from walking away.

appears that FSD is a priority over those that opted to not get it....the amount of VIN's for FSD vehicles is completely lopsided
