Why do you say that? You have a current vin number at 342xxx, my car was built on 3/24 and I have a vin of 3376xx...

You can call the 800 # delivery center and they will tell you the physical build date... they will even tell you if it has not been built yet... In my case, vin assigned Monday, Car built Thursday, took delivery following Tuesday (I am in Orange County, CA... so your timeline should be similar.)
What would be the 800 delivery number that you’ve contacted? Every number I’ve tried calling, the advisors are basically no help and sometimes tell me they don’t even see the build date.

Tesla delivery is driving me nuts right now. The delivery date has changed four times, the delivery location twice, six different people have contacted me all with different answers and there is no way to contact them back, and my trade-in valuation has not been updated so I have no idea what they will give me for my 2016 MX. I am supposed to take delivery tomorrow in Rocklin, CA, but apparently, the car is still in Freemont and no one knows anything. *** edit: delivery date now changed for the 5th time.

Welcome to the club. Several of us are in this situation.

Rumor is they’re having trucking issues. TBH I wish I could just tell Tesla that it’s cool to just sell my VIN to someone in the Bay Area. I don’t know why they don’t do this by default if they’re constrained by trucking. Give me a fresh VIN later if I have to wait anyway. As a shareholder that’s what I want them to do.

I have had great success in calling (510) 249-3500. Select vehicles (option 1), then select deliveries (option 3). They are happy to tell you the status of your car, especially if you have a vin # assigned.

There is a 7 seater LR delivered, here is the post on Facebook.

More pictures, this guy took delivery today.

And when (at least in my case) I’ve asked if I can just come to the Bay Area to pickup the car, I’ve been told no because the car is at a non-delivery location (supposedly)

I was VIN’d Jan 4th for pick up at the factory and didn’t take delivery until 2/10. That wasn’t my first scheduled delivery either. It was my third. I think it’s more than just trucking issues. Had a lot of issues back then and still seems the case with current deliveries. They stated the delay was due to a long inspection of the vehicle.

I got it. Accepted delivery this afternoon, went smooth as silk. Inspection revealed no problems. One FWD was a little funky about closing, we're keeping an eye on it, delivery specialist is also in service and told me to keep him informed. I'm playing with my new toy now, will post photos and so forth tomorrow sometime. It's overcast today so lighting is bad for taking an attractive photo anyway.

My car is sitting in the lot you took delivery from with a busted windshield. It probably came in on the same truck too.
