i'm guessing this is either your first tesla or you're in the FSD beta with a score of 100%. i don't know anyone that drives their tesla and get the advertised EPA range. you would have to be driving in heavy traffic w/ HVAC off with bluetooth and radio off. these cars are too fun to drive to worry about getting the EPA range/efficiency. ;)
As to your first guess, we have a 2018 M3 LR. Keenly aware of stated and actual range. As to your second, we just switched to Tesla insurance this week and I’m driving like an 80 year old (no offense meant to any 80 year olds in this thread). Driving downtown on LSD in morning traffic - it’s difficult to drive to Tesla’s insurance standards and its safety score. It’s causing me quite a bit of stress and I may go back to my more expensive State Farm insurance so I can drive fast, turn aggressively, and follow too closely.

It seems Tesla is now only considering the latest orders since they earn more money from them. If my MX comes before July then I would cancel this. However, I know that won't be true. It's been more than a year of waiting for MX. So I lost being optimistic now

Don't cancel it. With this rate of inflation, you'll make a huge amount of money selling it whenever it arrives, assuming they don't deliver you an equally old build as the price you pay for it.

Awesome t
Finally got the VIN for my 1/10/21 order. Yesterday it moved to Dec 22 - Apr 23 and today it shows a VIN with a May 20-24 delivery window. Spreadsheet updated. I wonder if they will apply the $2K discount to my order like they promised when I converted my pre-refresh order. Anybody have any recent experience with this?
Awesome that a pre-refresh order got filled for a change. Congratulations! Well there’s one ☝️

All this talk of LR vs Plaid range and actuals vs advertised has me curious — do we have good “real world” range figures for the refresh X variants yet? This will be my first Tesla (possibly first EV depending on Rivian’s timeline), so I’m wondering what to realistically expect out of my LR with 20s, particularly on highways cruising at 80-85.

Personally I’m just basing it off experience. I currently drive a Model Y Performance which is only rated for 303 miles, and honestly it’s doing me fine. I typically bypass 2 or more superchargers before I have to stop. So when I chose to go plaid at 311 miles I figured it would work about the same.

As promised here are some pictures of the car I took this morning. It’s a little dirty because we had to drive it home from Tampa in the rain yesterday. I forgot to mention the reason for the delay picking it up yesterday was because they forgot to charge the car. For those of you who are thinking of canceling DO NOT do it this is the best car I have ever owned by a long shot (coming from years of Porsche and Range Rover). Feel free to message me on here if you have any questions. Best of luck to everyone in this long frustrating process.

My range is bizzarely Oct 27 to January 5th. That is both very specific and completely vague. I ordered June 2021. Pretty much a year ago and they can only give me a random 3 month range with randomly specific start and end dates? Tesla is so messed up. Elon either needs more random happy endings or needs to lay off Twitter and focus on what actually matters: EVs.

More confirmation that the Dec to Apr 2023 edd was a placeholder. I woke up this morning to an edd of August 17 to October 12

Does anyone know if ranges like this are more common on Model 3 & Y orders or is this unique to Model X production?

LR / Blue ext / Black / 20 / 5 seats /
Ordered on 7/20
