Got a message from tesla:
"Hi, you may have an opportunity to take delivery of a Model X Plaid by Friday if you are open to different color or wheel options. Check your Tesla account to see available inventory or reply YES and a Tesla representative will reach out to talk through options."

yeah bruh, i know.. i have been checking the app and the website every 2 hours since eternity (or maybe it just feels like eternity) :/

so I am in MN, and delivery center told my wife today (when she stopped by to look at car which we will supposedly pick up on THursday) that car in in Cincinnati. Does that make any sense? Maybe shipped there by rail then truck to MN? Person claimed that never assigned to another buyer . . .
No, I doubt it. Cars shipped to both Minnesota and Cincinnati are rail'd to Chicago, then truck from there. It sounds like it was put on the wrong truck.

Pleasure to meet you today Shawn! Your red X is definitely a keeper!

I agree about the Yoke, I believe it is a gimmick.
The Yoke is not toooooo bad, but the touchscreen High Beam is really terrible.
I had not seen anywhere online how it actually works which requires a short press to flash or a long press to keep high beams on.
I have pretty long digits but the location of the High Beam button is so awkward and far away from the part of the Yoke you hold onto, its near the horn airbag.
Turn signals are not nearly as bad but unlike a stalk where you can get 3 blinks with a short throw, the Yoke turn signals need to be pressed once for on and pressed again for off, or you have to go into settings and have the car guess when to turn them off based on if it thinks you are in the 'final lane' after many blinks.
I personally love the yoke, but I’m still getting used to it. Haven’t had any issues with the turn signals, they turn off automatically when I finish changing a lane or full turn. I do think its odd that when you touch for lights on the yoke you then have to use the screen to make a selection.

Hi @Philip_Seattle ,
I called yesterday to confirm they had the fobs in stock. Before my appointment I went to the service desk and I asked to buy 2 fobs.
Since I had them before my appointment the Delivery Specialist helped me to set them up.
Good luck,
Shawn

That’s awesome. Thanks for the heads up. I’ll show up a little early and try to get some

Delivery Update - Model X White/White 20"/FSD. June 2021 Order, existing customer, Seattle WA.

Delivery was at the new "delivery experence" in Seattle (Westlake).
Car was a little dirty inside (mostly grease/dirt on windows and seats but wiped out easily).
Was some adhesive stuck on on the outside trip peices, but came out with Windex.
Two minor paint chips on the outside but I'd rather fix it myself than have Tesla sent it to their body shop. Last delivery they ended up repainting the entire hold and ended up with a ton of swirls, which required a second visit to fix!

Other than that, was a great experience. Was a little quick (30 mins from getting their to driving off) but I actually preferred that. No mechanical issues and coming from a 2018 model S, the car is a huge upgrade.

Note, even though I ordered it from my own referral link, I didn't get supercharging credits. I've emailed them about this but I doubt they will apply it. Also, no fobs included, delivery specialist said it's for purchase only.

How are resale values holding up? Seems like they've really taken a dive in the past few months and are sitting for a while. Understandable given the state of the world and the economy, but there's still a long line and $30k premium for MXLR models from Tesla. Potential resale is a big component to this purchase as I'm not entirely sure the X is what I personally want long-term.

Sounds overall pretty good! I’m heading down to seattle today to also have the new “delivery experience”. I had first wanted to do bellevue but I talked to them and I guess they don’t do deliveries there anymore. Will purchase some fobs there if they have any available

Mine showed up in the "lootbox" of my app without having to ask, so they are definitely honoring it still. It might just take a little bit before it pops up.

Resale is terrible. I bought my 2022 MX Plaid for $132k OTD figuring that I could drive it for a year and sell for what I paid. As the market started to dive six weeks ago I started checking all the wholesale channels and found offers as low as $99k at Vroom and up to $129k at CarMax. After seven days, CarMax dropped to $119K so I listed online for $137k and ended up getting $133k. I am very happy to have it gone now that I see dealers dropping below $130k with less miles than I had.
