Refreshed 2021+ Model X and Model X Plaid waiting room

I swear Tesla likes to punish Model X owners. Always late to the party or never get an invite.

Agreed. My kids love the rear screen in my MS refresh and would benefit from the larger screen. I am surprised Tesla made a hardware change at this stage.
Tesla makes hardware changes constantly because they constantly iterate, not by model year. At least it sounds like this is a drop in replacement so I’m hoping to get mine done! 😊

Nice. Now we wait to see if it’s only the P.
Must be only Plaid for now. My LR VIN is 3732XX and small screen. Picked it up last Monday.

Has anyone who's taken recent delivery found any incorrect Monroney's (window sticker). Based on my question in the past I anticipated to receive a window sticker reflecting the current, not ordered, price which I did, but it does not reflect the Enhanced Autopilot option I added for $6,000 3-4 months before delivery. I called Tesla and found someone who said they could email me a correct copy which did reflect the EAP option, but showed the base vehicle price at the price I ordered at. Has anyone had any luck getting a corrected window sticker?

Order date 2/1/22, previous EDD 12/10-1/20, got VIN on 12/1/2022 with request for delivery on 12/4/2022!
White/White LR 6-seater with standard wheels and FSD. A few issues with car that hopefully are fixable. I wanted to get the car for this year to beat change in depreciation rules, so I decided to accept delivery today (12/4). Yey!

Delivery experience (at Tesla Brooklyn) was good. Had to wait almost 30 min for all paperwork to complete, but after that I was totally unrushed. Given more than an hour to inspect (and I could have more). Delivery specialist was super nice, helped get out some hard-to-pull-out stickers from previous car.

Two issues I am concerned about: airflow from 3rd row vents is very weak and HVAC fan is quite loud on anything above 4. How do these compare with others' experience?

First impression: Car very solid and seems well built. Let's hope it stays so!
I think I will get used to the Yoke, will need a lot of retrained muscles to make up for missing turn signal and wipers. Worried about wipers in case of a torrential downpour--the wiper control stalk had been a lifesaver in a couple of cases where auto wipers didn't come on when they should ...

Good Luck to the ones waiting! This forum is great, but having the car is better :) . Cheers!

Congrats! I pickup my car tomorrow but I have not heard a fix for 3rd row HVAC being weak which is disappointing. Some even say they feel no air coming out one of the vents.

We brought this problem up when we picked up our X. We were told that the HVAC in the 3rd row will blow more air when the car is in drive and someone sitting in it. We rarely used the 3rd row. And none of my children ever complained about lack of air flow when sitting in the 3rd row. So, that could be true. You are welcome to experiment and see whether I was told the right thing. I’d rather not bring it up because the kids might start noticing the issue and start complaining 😂

Thanks, that is promising!
By the way, how noisy is the HVAC fan at speeds 4+? Mine makes a louder fan motor noise (as opposed to airflow noise) compared to my previous (2016) X.

Mine is great! Had my wife and my mother in the back for over an hour and they both felt comfy and warm (seat heat also works great). My wife is 6 feet tall and reported it to be sufficiently spacious even with someone next to her (mom is only 5'2"). Kids were in their mid row seats and so we filled 6 seats (my Dad next to me). Definitely the first time I felt supremely good about the car vs. the S I traded in.

I think the tint will help keep it cool in the summer but I also plan on getting UV blocking film to help during the summer heat. I agree the vent is not as powerful as the second row but you can open the vent (slide up or down, can't remember) and then direct the air (Old school). Everyone felt a breeze and I don't doubt the capacity of this beast to output cool or hot air. This was something we put to the test before accepting delivery (and we had a paperwork delay so we got way too long of a time to have the kids bounce and test every seat and config).

So Tesla can do it right but it seems to be a hard thing to fix without ripping apart the car.

EDIT: I believe that there is a setting about the third row vent in the HVAC -- you'll need to activate it by going from the front controls to rear and then opting for the third row HVAC.

Auto does a decent job for me once it gets to temp at staying quiet and keeping air flowing. I used it a lot on my recent road trip. However, I often go without HVAC though and rely on seat heat for short trips. I even tried cooling once and even one wavy line was cold enough to keep me comfortable without turning on the hvac).

I always use auto settings for the HVAC. There is nothing abnormal about the fan noise compared to our other 3 previous Teslas (3 and Ys). We had the front windows and windshield tinted . So, that helps cool down the interior temperature a big time. I say it’s definitely worth the money doing so. The front windshield tinting cost a fortune. And it’s hard to find a shop that can do it using 1 piece of film.

Does yours have the thinner bezel back seat screen?
