Was just looking through the My Tesla section of teslamotors.com, and found this. Nice.
You can even upload your own documents too!! Not sure what it's useful for...
Nice. Now the question is whether or not it shows up immediately or only after you install it in the car. Can anyone on v5.6 that refuses to update to v5.8 so that they could retain the features that they paid thousands of dollars for confirm that the release notes for v5.8 is showing in their MY TESLA page?
Also, still no mention of the crippling of the air suspension in these release notes.
Please do not turn this thread into another bitch session about the air suspension changes.
I have 5.6, and refuse to install 5.8. The 5.8 release notes DO appear on my My Tesla page.
I do think it's fair game for people to email [email protected] asking when they will update the 5.8 release notes to reflect the expected behavior of the feature changes referred to in Elon's blog post.
This is great! Now we won't need to look at fuzzy pic's! Hoping the release notes are posted as soon as updates start hitting cars out of beta. We'll have to see if that happens...
And no, I'm not commenting on the ride height.
I don't have this "DOCUMENTS" section displayed on https://www.teslamotors.com/mytesla. Is there another link for documents?
That's odd. It shows up for me just beneath "Model S Service Sign Up" and above "Tesla now."
Maybe try hitting "Refresh" on your browser a couple of times? Could be just a caching issue.

I must say it's kind of awesome that they have some of the old ones:
missing some versions that my car had (example: v1.15.14)
"new naming" versions do not include the "old naming" string
2nd sort order (version) is ascending when it should be descending like the 1st sort order (date)
I don't have it on my account either.
sounds like somebody got up on the wrong side of bed this morning, crabby pants.
This is very embarrassing, but I got a call from Tesla after I sent an email inquiring why I didn't have the Documents section. To make a long story short, I was clicking on the "My Profile" link at the top of the page, which allows you to edit your profile. I should have been clicking on the "View Profile" link under the car. In the computer industry we have many kinds of failures: Hardware Failures, Software failures and Softhead failures. You can guess which one I experienced.
That sounds fair enough. Can we turn it into a bitching session about how the release notes still don't include the what is the single most important change with version of 5.8s software?
I'm hoping this thread doesn't turn into any kind of bitching session!
Ahhhh, hope does spring eternal!
