Walmart was quick to offer support to the Tesla Semi, saying it would order 15 of the trucks to add to its fleet of around 6,000. But, you may remember that Walmart previously launched its own truck design efforts. In 2014, Walmart introduced a concept truck called the WAVE – short for Walmart Advanced Vehicle Experience. The prototype was built with collaboration between Walmart and many vendors, including Peterbilt, Roush Engineering, Great Dane Trailers and Capstone Turbine. I once thought about Walmart putting solar panels on their roofs and make a V2G system on their parking spots that slowly charge their customers their cars up. This together with a few superchargers. To me it seems like awesome to drive to such a supercharge parking spot, do some shopping, come back and drive off with a 80% full battery again.
