I am looking forward to getting the latest update for sentry mode and I know a number of people made the comment about a thief stealing the USB key and therefore no evidence. Although it's not super likely to happen one never knows I guess. So I got to thinking that if I can install a 2-port usb hub behind the factory location and use port 1 to go back to the stock location and port 2 with an extension to a stealthier spot like the glovebox. Parts on amazon less than $20. Has anyone ever accessed the area behind the factory USB locations?

The Manual says this about the use of a hub with USB:
"Note: Do not connect multiple devices using a USB hub. This can prevent connected devices from charging or from being recognized by Media Player." (manual dated 11/12/18, pg 21). I know some people here on TMC have used a hub however.

As for the issue of someone stealing your USB drive, found Tesla's comment in this Electrek article interesting: Tesla Sentry Mode: Interesting new details
