Removal of Front Emblem and Rear Hatch Chrome Trim

Need some help with the removal of the front emblem (which, according to pics I've seen, is attached to a plastic piece) and also the rear hatch chrome trim.

Can anyone share if it can be done fairly easily or pass on any info??

I'm actually looking to get them powdercoated a different color.

Here is what the front emblem looks like off of the car:

Open frunk.
Take off the plastic covering on the front part of the frunk. You will see two screws. Undo them and slide it out.

For the rear trim undo the screws underneath it and it is also connected by double sided tape from what I've seen when I got mine painted

Decided to wrap the rear tailgate chrome trim today ... updated to the new version with larger letters

Why not wrap it with a precut pattern and skip taking it off ?? We put our tailgate appliqué on without removing it

The light applique / emblem has been out for years. EVAnnex et one time was selling them, now, you can order the light
appliqué/emblem, front and rear ligated "T's" for the model X and S. By the first of March the rear lighted "T" for the model 3 will be available.

I believe the new rear version with 7/8" letters was introduced in 2016 ... the 5/8" letters were 2012-2015

No screws are required ... here is the correct procedure from the Tesla Service manual
