Remove chrome trim on quarter panel

Does anyone know what is involved in removing the chrome window trim on the quarter? Looking at the part catalog it doesn’t seem to be attached with fasteners. Is it just press fit on? Did they use adhesive? I searched but mostly found a bunch of stuff about chrome delete.

A bump before I either wing it or just mask it off and paint around it.

I saw in another thread that it is Double sticked tape on (like pretty much the whole rest of the car it seems! grrrr) the whole car seems taped/ plastic fastenered together (crappy quality for a 100k ish car) uhh

What year is your car? The metal ones (chromed stainless steel) , I believe mid 2017 on back, is held on by urethane in the quarter window area. From quarter window going forward it's held on with plastic clips & screws. And like Altes post, it's a once & done deal because the urethane just doesn't want to pull off cleanly. You'll like bend the molding trying to pull it off.
Now if you're talking about mid 2017 to now, it should be chrome plastic which is held in place by molded in clips & 3M tape in quarter window area. The rest is still with screws. This you should be able to pull off.
