Remove Tow Hitch?

Is it possible to remove the factory installed tow hitch? I don't want it anymore.

The tow hitch replaces the rear crash beam, right? So you would need to source one of those if it was removed...

Why do you want to remove it? Just put the cover on and you can't even tell it is there unless you look really close.

Unload it possibly, but it seems more hassle than what it's worth. It was an inventory vehicle, so I had no choice.

We happen to have a rear crash beam that we removed from our first Model Y when installing an aftermarket hitch, in case @whydontwe would be interesting in acquiring one.
