Has anyone had any experience renting a home that has NEMA plugs to EV charge in a two car garage? I would like to broadcast to that niche renter who drives EV.
No personal experience, but all you would do is add a line in your "For Rent" ad that there is a 14-30, 14-50, etc.., outlet available for EV charging.
I've rented with a NEMA 14-50. Both times the house was for rent it wasn't used. Have another home in WA that I will rent, we will see if someone cares.
2 approaches:
1 rental property needed an upgrade above 100 Amp entrance. Adding a 14-50 outlet (aka EV charger) enabled the upgrade to be part of the tax deductible EV infrastructure.
Other rental property listed as having "EV Charger available upon request". There's nothing there but this enables the owner to advertise it but will have to add it if requested.
Neither have approach has been taken up by renters yet.
