What gets left on the table is the additional money that I can almost guarantee would have come from supplemental claims once they tore into the car.
Great video... here is a plug for their new website: EV Tuning Tesla upgrades Tesla Accessories Tesla Parts
I did like the story of the original flooded car owner jacking up the price of the original keyfob after creepily finding him. Guess he won't get a return call if he ever finds the other fob. Just way too weird that he has his Z06 too. Uncle Rich should be the new Uncle Creepy.
Yeah, what's up with that? They guy already got his check from his insurance company which would arguably "include" the key. I mean, you'd think the Z06 thing would seal the deal for doing him a favor. But mad props to Rich for being super-stalky. There was no winner here
I ended up posting in that thread because that's where the link takes you: Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the 2019 Investors' Roundtable That post lives in it's own reality.
So based on Rich's video and AZRI11's friend, it seems more like people talking at cross-points, because the issues encountered in the earlier video (about not having the X ready) are NOT countered by the friend, who detailed the car that was ultimately delivered to Rich in this video. Both situations could've happened, without either person making anything up. It's all about the timing, and we just have to keep in mind that videos take time to edit and then post. The dedham employees being fired sounds like they got fired for trying to help in such a way that it didn't help (circumventing the procedures)? Because the failed delivery of the model X initially was a huge clusterF and made Tesla look bad. Rich didn't help the situation by vlogging it. Not everything needed to have a spotlight shown on it. But then, this was around the time when service was getting a black-eye globally and Musk ended up publicly proclaiming that service would be a priority after that. Let's move on though, since the past can't be changed. Really looking forward to the electrified garage, and hope that others follow in the footsteps!
There is only one objective truth here. They're outright calling him a lair and saying it's all made up. Nothing here sounds made up to me. Were they actually fired? I mean his delivery was a completely clusterf***, as are many others, so something needs to happen. Although I don't think the employees at Dedham had the power or authority to do it correctly. Tesla's entire communications system is broken. Many of my interactions with Tesla have been unsatisfactory, up to even in the past 2-3 weeks. I just don't vlog about it on youtube. They are not the fault of a low level employee, but are systemically broken. People hating on Rich are the Tesla cult saying the Tesla owners/enthusiasts are blasphemers. It's sad.
Yeah. If it wasn't clear, I too believe Rich is not a liar and that his vlogs aren't scripted. I don't agree with all his jokes and wisecracks, but we can't all be perfect. The people who take issue are just jumping to conclusions.
I think it was in the 2nd part of the series where a head manager from Fremont flew out to make things right. And I don't remember if it was in that video, or shortly after where Rich commented that he didn't need all this special attention, only to get his car.
Yea, I don't have a Youtube Vlog either. Rich's channel seems authentic and not "fake news" Anyone with a Tesla and experienced their communication "skills" know they are poorly lacking.
Channel started out pretty well and was an interesting view into dealing with the chaos that is the secondhand Tesla market, along with the rebuild progress from this very thread... unfortunately, sorry Rich, but it's just clickbait nowadays. The whole "crowdfunded garage" thing cracked me up, also. There's already plenty of places who actually worked to make a Tesla/EV/etc shop happen where you can get Tesla parts, repairs, etc... So the "I want to be the first EV or Tesla repair shop" stuff is crazy. I'm not sure I could even in good conscience attempt to do a crowdfunding thing for my shop (where I've worked on exclusively Teslas and a few other EV vehicles for nearly 3 years...), but that's just me I guess. Maybe sell shares or equity or something to raise cash instead of a crowdfunding money grab if it's a worthwhile company? *shrugs* Finally completely lost me after the battery fire video that was 100% clickbait... then the bogus "retraction" video (which got 1/5th the views of the headline grab one) to make it sound like it wasn't supposed to be clickbait... Youtubers gonna Youtube, though, I suppose... and this is all just for profit at this point it seems.
Yea, you are right I guess. I am not a Rich Rebuilds defender. I do like his channel though but, at times it's all about the click bait. Views = $. I guess I missed the crowdfunded garage thing. I have better things to do with my money, sorry Rich
People seem to crowd fund everything these days, so funding an EV garage seems more reasonable than many. (No, I did not contribute). He did quit his regular job so yes he's doing this for profit, I don't see anything wrong with that either. I don't expect anyone to give away their services for free. If he can make a living at repairing Tesla's more power to him, that helps all of us, and maybe encourages others to do the same.
He quit his job? Oh boy! I hope he knows what he's doing. And please don't fix customers cars with a kitchen knife
