Replacing Tesla Liftgate Applique on older Model S

So I'm planning to replace the liftgate applique on my Model S (2017). It's chrome and I like the look of new applique (blacked out).

Will the newer applique fit on older Model S? Thanks!

I put a "SpaceX" chrome lettering on the back of my trunk. There's PLENTY of room there, though I admit to removing the "Dual Motor" lettering just because it made everything look cluttered. I think you'll have no problems.

Sorry for the confusion. I was referring to the applique on the liftgate (chrome bar with TESLA on it).

Yes it will swap out, but a lot of people will just wrapped their current one... I actually had mine painted.
