It's not a new number but is now visible. It is the same number that was hidden in the page HTML initially but then removed.

No, you're thinking of the reservation ID that was available for a day or so last year. The reservation number has always been available on the MyTesla page and has always been 9 digits.

You must be right, I took vonheinrich's comment to mean an RN appeared for the first time. The RN is actually in the page URL so it is not a mystery.
