Reveal your VIN before it appears on your account

I doubt anyone will know. What all of us, impatiently awaiting for our auto, know is… we want it badly!

Fair enough. I just went through all 9 pages and couldn't find anyone else with an X vs a number there. Maybe it means they're waiting to assign 1 of 9 to me. haha. Oh well...progress is progress?

Worked for me! xx6502. My advisor told me the same number yesterday. It does not appear on my account page yet but when I viewed page source, it shows my vin. Very cool!

When you find the 5YJ in source, does it say VIN in front of it? I can find a 5YJ number but it is preceded by Callback and the code for year is G. It should be L.

Sadly although I have an RN and Tesla account set up, as I went through my company car scheme I don’t have the manage option to search for ViN

It looks to me like they are encrypting the VIN within the source code. E.G there's a Model S in transit on the UK inventory site and using the page source reveals this:

5YJS188_299152c95ee1d81e0ae2b7c3a6fd4e88

As far as I can work out the correct VIN will start with 5YJSB7E2 but i can't work out how to get to the rest of it.

Anyone able to help me out here?

source code just changed this morning and I am now finding some new "5YJ" code but it also appears encrypted.

Yes, been trying the source code trick every day waiting for one for a Y. Didn’t even get an encrypted 5YJ before the VIN popped up on the main account page.

I ordered a blue Model 3 SR+ (black interior, aero wheels, no FSD) on July 19, 2020.

No text or email from Tesla (yet), no VIN in the source code either... but today I noticed on the 'manage' page under the 'documents' section in the bottom right corner, there was a new 'Mvpa' document. Not sure how long that has been there before, but the Motor Vehicle Purchase Agreement PDF has the VIN !

The SA emailed me the vin but its not showing in the app or web page. Tried using the methods mentioned on the first page.

I tried this today and the 5yj didn’t work but when I searched the extract from the screenshot above about ‘insurance’ I found it. Not sure how to find out more now though.
