Reverse parking sensor chimes stopped working - image still functioning on dash

This is odd....

2013 Model S

With my front parking sensors, I get the image on the screen with the white, yellow, and red curves as well as the distance in inches showing up... but I also hear the chimes as I approach whatever obstacle is there in front of me. No problems there.

With my rear parking sensors, I get reverse camera as well as the image on the screen with the white, yellow, and red curves as well as the distance in inches showing up... BUT NO chimes as I approach an obstacle behind me. I could've sworn the rear chimes used to work until a few days ago.

Checking my settings, I see that I have the sound for the chimes on in the settings.

Any advice?

there's a mute button right on the screen...would seem rude to ask if you accidentally turned off the chimes? But I did it anyway...

No it's not pressed . Chimes still work in the front

I would try rebooting the main display. I had no chime and a frozen image. The reboot fixed both for me.

I lost all chimes and even the turn signal clicking sound the other day. Reboot fixed.

Front working and back not is strange.

It’s a bug in the recent download, I went through this Sunday night with phone support.

The latest download fixes it, I’m still waiting to get it pushed to my S

I tried a reset of both screens independently, then did a deeper reset (holding down the 4 buttons on the steering wheel for 30 secs), still not working.

Same thing happened to my 2017 a couple times in the last week. I had to do a reset of the main screen and it started working.

I noticed this as well, front is working with chime, back is not. Did the two scroll button hold reboot process, and I'm still observing the issue.

I tried the same thing, did not correct the issue for me.

Firmware 2018.10 fixes it! Ask them to push this firmware to you.

I assume I just encountered this same issue. Turning into my driveway, the sensors and chimes signaled, as expected, to notify the garbage can was nearby. When reversing and following the exact same path, no signal. To test further, I was able to reverse with wheel turned and back my driver side front fender right into the waste can with no chime. Seems like a defect/bug.

Same here..I already had a damage due to this bug
Will call the SC to get firmware 2018.10 pushed. Hope it will be fixed then.

Just got the new firmware.. and guess what? Chimes are back again!
