Review: D2 Racing lowering Spring & Signature Wheel SV104 & Toyo T1A

Loving the car, but the car sits too high for my taste and the stock areo isn't for me, so here are the modifications I've done to my LR RWD so far. D2 racing lowering spring & Signature Wheel SV104

D2 racing lowering spring:
I’m trying to find a review for D2 racing spring but no luck, so I go ahead and order a set for my LR RWD and it shipped to me in one day! 2 inch drop with this spring. (2.3" after settled)

No surprise, just like my other cars, all lowering spring behave pretty much the same, where is lot more bouncy on uneven surface, (sometime it just feel like you have blown shock lol)

I’ve the spring installed for a week now, I'm satisfies with the height but no so much on the ride quality. There's some noise at the rear but you can only hear the noise when music is off.

Clearance:
The front end design from Tesla are short and high, therefore no issue going in&out the driveway or dips after 2 inch drop. Make sure you keep it slow at all time until the rear end clears it, if you think your front end clears and you speed up, you are going to scrape in the rear. (Ask me how I know lol)
The side, do you have to go in aggressive angle on speed bumps or otherwise you will scrape that little mud flap thing in front of the rear wheel.

My thought:
If 2inch drop is what you are looking for and you can deal with slight noise and harsh ride over uneven surface.

Signature Wheel SV104:

These are some of the images I took of my long range RWD on Fully Forged Signature Wheel SV104, I personally think 19inch setup is the best combination for the look as well as the comfort.

-Front&Rear Wheel: 19x9.5 ET35
-Front&Rear Tire: 265-35-19 Toyo T1A
-Wheel Weight: 20.8 lbs
-Tire weight: 26 lbs
-Combined wheel/Tire Weight: 46.8 lbs

First impression with these Toyo T1A is it’s definitely more noisy comparing to PRIMACY MXM4, and not as efficient. However, I found it ride better, maybe because it got softer compound? (Correct me if I'm wrong)

Due to my car is lowered and does not have camber kit on, the rear natural camber (2 degree) take a pretty big hit on traction from stock 235/45/18 MXM4, resulting tire spin when launching. With new 265mm setup, it did temporary fix my problem, but I will still add the camber kit in the future for the proper camber.

enjoy!

Yeah, your review of these springs doesn't sound encouraging. I just got the Unplugged Performance Mild springs installed and I'm really liking them so far. I couldn't go for the slammed look because my driving destinations are too unpredictable, but I'm done with those days anyway.
