I have a 2017 Model S 100D. Two software updates have occurred since I bought it about 2 months ago.

I should be able to briefly press the right scroll wheel to display a list of options for the right side of the instrument panel display. For example to display the energy graph. After a recent update, this no longer happens. Pressing on the wheel now turns off the climate control or turns it back on. Anyone else seen this behavior? I am a newbie, so I may be missing something obvious.

Briefly pressing the scroll wheel will operate whatever you've set it up to control - in your case, the climate control. You need to press and hold the wheel to change the left or right sides of the dash.

You are absolutely right and I appreciate the response. I must have been using an obsolete version of the user manual:

To choose what displays on the right
side of the instrument panel, press the
scroll wheel briefly until the available
options are displayed. Roll the scroll
wheel to choose Empty, Car Status,
Clock, Media, Energy or Trips, etc.
When the option you want is
    highlighted, tap the scroll wheel.
Note: The option you choose to
display using the right scroll wheel is
retained until you manually change it.
It is also saved in your driver profile.
