Sharp looking! I actually didn't bother with the rim protection strips for now. Maybe when I fix the curb rash on my naked Geminis, I'll put them on.
Are the covers glossy OR flat black(matte)??Checked my email and it looks like Rimetrix has the Laminars, which are the wheel covers (hubcaps) for the Model Y. $289 for the set of four, with caps and rim protection kit. These covers also look to cover the edges of the rims which the Tesla Gemini covers do not.

Protect your rims and extend your range with the world’s most advanced replacement wheel covers for Tesla Model Y. Upgrade today.rimetrix.com
I’d say they are more of a semi gloss.Are the covers glossy OR flat black(matte)??
Ours came today and we agree with the points above. They're a gift for my spouse who really likes the look compared to the stock covers or the bare rims. Hopefully winter driving won't be a problem.Likes:
* quality, fit, finish are very good
* ease of installation
* shipping box and packing material are excellent to store the Gemini hubcaps in
Dislikes:
* the Rimetrix rims are black like they are supposed to be. But it makes the rubber of my tires look washed-out.
I inflate mine with the covers on and have no problem.Are you able to inflate these tires with the covers on using a tire inflator with a basic locking chuck? The valve doesn't stick out long enough to push the chuck all the way in. Let me know if it's just my air pump.
And so do the original Tesla covers. I had never noticed it until I compared them with the Rimetrix today. They are all the same. There are no left and right versions of either brand.It looks like all four Rimetrix Laminar hubcaps are the same design, which means the charging port side (left) has hubcaps that look like they are spinning backwards to their direction.
Probably increase the cost if they made a left and right side, plus including instructions for people to (not) read.
Which is surprising - they’re not symmetrical, so you’d expect air resistance to be lower spinning in one direction than the other…And so do the original Tesla covers. I believe the first order effect is degree of masking or coverage (viz. Honda Insight skirts) so the styling may be irrelevant but aero is tricky. I assumed all the Tesla wheels and covers were identical.Which is surprising - they’re not symmetrical, so you’d expect air resistance to be lower spinning in one direction than the other…
