Ring on window

I Was wondering if anyone have experienced or knows why this is happening.

I have a approx 2 month old MY and just recently noticed a ring on the rear window. It shows when the window is cleaned as it “dries”/whick water faster. If you look closely you can see it on the window when dry and if the light hits right. Haven’t noticed it before but it seems like it can be cleaned off with window cleaner etc.

Anyone know why it might be there and how to get rid of it?

Is it on the outside or inside? Can you feel it when you run your finger over it, like it's a residue or something?

hey just like the tape imprint that will be on there this ring will be on places of the window. you can use a cleaning solution for windows and also for a finishing use a clay bar to completely remove any grime left from the tape/suction cups

Looks like the imprints where the suction cups from the assembly robot placed the glass in position. Mine had the same on the top. Good cleaning with alcohol and they will disappear.

Manual says not to use a pure cleaner etc. is it safe to use a rubbing alcohol or something like that?

Worked for me no issues. Alcohol (isopropyl) is the primary ingredient in Windex.

Used Nattys window cleaner and another without alcohol. Will try a bit of isopropyl alcohol

Ok tried iso alcohol. Benzene. Windex. Etc etc. no luck. Still there. Seems to be raised a little bit above the window. No idea how to fix.

ask tint shop to help you to remove it, I had the same on my used X from previous owner, most likely suction cup, they did a great job removing it, don't know what they used though

Barkeeper's Friend. Make a paste with a little water and rub with a sponge. Flush with water.

told you if you use a basic clay bar it should remove it with ease. go to your local detail shop tell them you want to take off stuck residue off a window and you want a clay bar and lube for it.
