In addition to a potential new factory in Arizona, Rivian is looking to expand production outside the U.S.

A Sky News report says the automaker is discussing a new factory with the British government to be built near Bristol. According to the report, talks are not yet at an advanced stage, and there are competing proposals from Germany and the Netherlands.

Rivian expects to deliver its first vehicles to consumers this year and expects to grow its product offering to range from delivery vans to trucks to smaller commuter vehicles. The company is currently gearing up in a former Mitsubishi plant in Illinois. A second U.S. factory is reportedly planned in Arizona that would produce both cars and batteries.

Last week Reuters reported that Rivian plans to invest $5 billion in a second factory for its electric vehicles. The company hopes to start construction of the plant in fall of 2021 and production of vehicles at the plant in the second quarter of 2023. Rivian is reportedly considering land east of Mesa, Arizona, near Gold Canyon.

Kinda getting annoying with this silly company making all these hype statements when they can't even make a vehicle.

They are "testing" some amazon vans. Great. Which is totally different as it won't have any use able specs for regular driving.

I would propose a moratorium on these stupid hype articles.
