Road dirt getting inside door jam

We just took a trip to Reno and got caught in some rain/snow near Truckee.

When we arrived, we noticed that water/dirt/snow got inside the door jams. Seems like the doors are not sealing this out well.

Is this normal? I don’t recall getting this this badly on other cars we have owned.

Hi, I just installed the Basenor "Door Seal Kit", since we've had two Southeast Alaska winters with our first Tesla. We noticed the snow build up on door sills so hope this extra level of rubber sealing around all doors, frunk and trunk it'll be a dunk this Winter!

oh. that is a good idea. I see it's for dirt and noise, although we haven't had an issue with noise like I've heard some people complain about. I'm going to look into this - thanks!

I installed those door seal kits too. Definitely cut down on dirt and reduced significantly rain water entering that area but not completely preventing it, although it is expected. Definitely recommend it if that bother you.
