We're booked in for upgrade on April 4. Battery is here (San Diego SC), another Roadster is currently being upgraded. Upgrade is electronics stuff only, no changes to tires, suspension or anything like that, as others have already said.

@ggr are you planning on getting the JdeMO upgrade from @TonyWilliams ? Wondering how the 3.0 would perform wit JdeMO

I haven't felt a need for it yet, but with the extended range I might think more about it. My primary use case for the larger battery is day trips to Los Angeles.

If it was me, I wouldn't install the JdeMO until your new ESS warranty (and possibly your car's extended warranty if you have it) has passed. I'm sure Tesla would quickly deny any claims if the 3.0 ESS fails, even if it was due to malfunction by Tesla, when they find any information or hint that an aftermarket charging system was installed.

......I feel like most "big-rig American truckers" will think its wimpy to drive around an electric truck.....

Only untll they are left FAR behind at the starting line.

Got email!

Great! Put me on the list for a ride in it after the 3.0 battery is installed. :)

Also, is this 3.0 replacing an existing OEM battery? If so, it'd be great if you could weigh your Roadster before the upgrade so that we can figure out the weight difference of the 3.0 battery.

Please update any information you get as you have the Roadster 3.0 upgrade completed. Very anxious to get more information.
