Yes that was posted recently in another thread. But note the VDS shows the battery is at about 80% state of charge but only showing 239 miles of Ideal Range. Less that I am expecting for the 3.0 battery.

What looks odd about the mileage/range? To me it looks to be right on for what they promised. Performance mode shows the range as if you charged it in Standard mode. Its about 80% charged in perf mode and showing 239 ideal miles. If fully charged in std/perf mode it would be 300 ideal miles. (each bar notch on the bottom is approx 30 miles). Then you calculate what range mode would be, which is typically 29% more than standard, and it comes out to be 370+ ideal miles (actual calculation is 387).

Actually Perf mode shows the range as if you charged in Range mode without the bottom 10%. If we assume 10% of the 3.0 battery is about 35 miles and the display is at 80% then a full range charge would be about 345 miles. Sounds consistent with other reports.

Update: our new battery was installed yesterday, they kept it overnight to make sure it charges "to the full 330 miles". I expect to pick it up later today.
Cool! Feel free to bring it up to OC! We're having Brunch at Bru (Lake Forest) on April 24, 9:30 AM.

I'll probably do that!

New update: the new charge cable that's needed doesn't work. They're overnighting one, then they'll need to charge it. Sigh.

Uh...say again? The 3.0 battery requires a different charge cable, meaning that the charge port hardware is changed when the 3.0 battery is installed?

That has not been reported before. Please clarify.

If it were an Model S/X or future III connector, it probably wouldn't need to be shipped in, right? They'd have plenty of those on hand.

Please do update us once you know more.

Changing the port could actually make me cancel my order. It's extremely important that the new Roadster 3 upgrade works with the Can Sr by Henry Sharp. If you have one, please update after you have tried charging with it.

This information about a new charge cable makes me wonder if it's the port, or perhaps the cable that goes from the Roadster connector to start charging (internal wires).

Any chance there's a new onboard charger (20 kw) to draw up to 80A, it's still the same old Roadster port, and just the cable needs to be changed?? (Ok, I really have no idea, but very interested for more info...!)
