Roadster 3.0

Did you get a pic of the VDS showing 340?

No photo but have this from OVMS. Est range is low because we live at 2400ft and do a hill climb before it parks.

02:41:44
Range - Charging Done
SOC: 98%
Ideal Range: 340 mi
Est. Range: 195 mi
ODO: 31,492.9 mi
CAC: 214.68

102 miles later I parked for two nights starting with
05:17:02
Not charging
SOC: 67%
Ideal Range: 228 mi
Est. Range: 177 mi
ODO: 31,595.1 mi
CAC: 214.68

Will get back home later today.

Finishing up this trip car used 5 IM parked for two days then drove 110 miles home (total 212 real miles) and had 67 IM left in range mode and 33 IM when it reverted to a normal charge.

I wasn't trying to economize. Drove mountains, freeway, SF city traffic. Started and ended at 2400ft. Have wider and stickier tires than stock.

Feels like 250 usable miles for me. I'd expect over 300 miles driven more gently.

Is Roadster 3.0 capable of supercharging? (sorry, too lazy to check every page of this thread to find the answer)
Using the TMC site search function and entering "Roadster supercharging" in about 15 seconds I found this thread which if you read it makes clear that Roadsters cannot use Tesla Superchargers. Roadster & Level-3 or ChadeMo / Supercharging?

The new TMC forum site search is quite good.

My 1.5 Roadster is still at the service center getting the 3.0 battery upgrade. Apparently an issue has come up updating the firmware. They swapped a board out (PCN? If I have those initials right) but that has not worked so they and Tesla engineering are still trying to figure out how to fix the problem.

I have mixed feelings: sad and concerned that your Roadster's upgrade has run into difficulties, but also happy that they should have the problem(s) solved by the time my "close cousin" v1.5 Roadster gets its upgrade!

On the positive side, they are replacing some electronics, at no additional cost to me, in the car that are well over 7 years old so that is a plus. I am sure they will eventually fix the issue. After 2 1/2 weeks, I am just missing my Roadster.

Do you know if yours is the first 1.5? ggr has a 2.0, Adrian has a 2.0 Sport, the silver one offered by SF Sports Cars is a 2.5 Sport. Do we know details for any others?

Mine is the first Roadster that the Marietta Service Center has done. Asgard had indicated that his car was in the line, but never noticed him say it was done.

Are they replacing the entire PEM? (upgrade to 2.x PEM perhaps?)

First one I've seen post around here...

Probably PCB if they're talking about a single board.

Mine is still in the line. No ETA, but the pace of installations is less than one every couple of months.
Only a small fraction of all Roadster owners post here on TMC, so it is impossible to know with any degree of precision the rate of 3.0 battery installations.

My service manager said he talked with a Florida service center advisor and was told they have done 4 Roadsters there. Of those 4, 2 had similar problems with getting the cars to upgrade the firmware. My problem must not be exactly like those 2 or they would have already figured it out.
