I only mentioned Italy because the VDS says "IT VIN" which I assume means it was manufactured with intent to be delivered to Italy.
742 is now with me since July 2020. 1. SFZRE2B36B3000742 2. 2.5 3. Switzerland 4. Red exterior / black interior with carbon fibre interior bits 5. Still in Switzerland, Pfäffikon SZ 6. Me, vlad_x2 7. It’s the original battery, so ESS 2.0 I think? 8. Very much alive 9. A quick snap from yesterday, not my most artistic shot. I stopped to push some debris out of the road and there was traffic coming
I think perhaps your Roadster was a demo/show car at first. Maybe this one seen at the 2011 Geneva motor show:
A Christmas present for @warden_clyffe 1. SFZRE3B10B3000787 2. 2.0 3. UK 4. Black/black (grey seats) 5. Keswick (Lake District, England) 6. ? 7. ESS 2.0 8. Alive (CAC 155.99 as of today) 9. see below, on the Hardknott Pass in the Lake District
Looks similar spec, but my CoC is dated 14 Nov 2011 and the Geneva motor show was in March. The show car must have inspired the original owner to order By the way, the carbon fibre on my hood panel, mirrors, charger cap and trunk lid is a wrap. Kinda funny that it’s painted carbon fibre wrapped to look like carbon fibre. The roll hoop and interior trim are actual exposed carbon fibre.
Was about to ask if that was the hardknott pass, then noted you had already mentioned it. Childhood memories of walking up this, as our mini 850 could do it, just not with passengers onboard.... Not Paddy Hopkirk spec!
The Hardknott Pass is a beast, but the Roadster (or any EV) just strolls up it. No need to worry about frying the clutch on the way up, or the brakes on the way down. I was once in a VW camper van that barely made it up, so the contrast was startling. And what a bonus in getting so much energy back into the battery on the descent ...
Sorry thought I posted, but only the last car book > Roadster History Europe/APAC 1. SFZRE3B39A3000335 2. 2.5 3. UK 4. Black/White (as invoice below) + Soundproofing Kit added 2011 5. UK 6. mark77a 7. ESS 2.0 8. Very much alive 9. and a photo (one is enough) 4 cars along from #330 (there doesn't seem to be a #334 ? ) #330 is a famous UK Roadster, which lives ~35 miles away > BBC FUD Fest: Mini-E London to Edinburgh owned by Mod @dpeilow
On linkedIn: "An important piece of automotive history has been added to the Autoworld Museum Brussels by Athlon Belgium. Being one of the first lease companies to pioneer electric mobility we acquired a Tesla Roadster limited edition back in 2011 for our customers to get a taste of electric driving. Did you know that Tesla began production of this Roadster already in 2008, but it was not until 2010 that it was exported to Europe? One of the first 250 'Signature' versions of this special 2010 EU-limited edition is now on display at the Autoworld museum in Brussels. Do stop by to admire it!"
