Has anyone had the HPWC for the Roadster not trigger charging? I connect it to the car, then push the lock clip on top forward and then nothing. The color around the charger stays white and that blue light that normally triggers just before green charging never happens. Seems like the clip on top to close / secure it might be bad??? Was ok just a week or two ago. Thanks! Paul
I found one other post on this forum and checked inside the wall unit to see if the purple clips are connected. Mine are. https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/attachments/img_1824-jpg.194387/
I've run into this issue before because the switch doesn't fully engage the pilot signal. Does the switch go completely forward when not twisted onto the Roadster charge port?
It does when it’s not on the car. It seems to not go all the way forward when I put it on the car though. I tried the 120v charger no issues and the clip on top is sliding forward and back better, clean and easy slide.
Try this. After rotating the charge cable connector ~90° clockwise on the charge port, turn a few degrees counter-clockwise while applying pressure on the switch. Does the switch move to the fully forward position?
