Recently bought a 1.5 roadster with battery issues, and it doesn’t seem like the 3.0 is available online anymore and no one seems to think they sell used or rebuilt battery packs anymore. Does anyone have any info on this?
maybe define battery problems? as many people here have experience with faulty packs. If you want a new one then you probably need to get your name on the list with Tesla.
Hmm - I just contacted my local SC and this was the reply:
"As of right now, this is not an upgrade that is performable. No word as to when or if the upgrade will come back, but as of right now we cannot order the parts needed for this upgrade."
@josh-io, can you PM me a contact for someone at Palo Alto?
I just had my faulty ESS pack replaced with a refurbished pack for 4.5k. Take a look at the other battery thread for the details. Tesla IS retailing defective older ESS with upgraded / refurbished packs. It took me about 6 weeks to get the car back once I had my SC diagnose and order a replacement ESS. It’s NOT a 3.0
Pack, but it’s an updated 2.x pack with a SOC of. 154.. so
Basically a brand new pack! . But... YMMV....
Other battery post with more ESS replacement details.
