That was not the case here on the east coast. The Roadster sales staff were mostly seasoned high-end performance/luxury car salesmen and women. That changed shortly before and during the Model S release in 2012. As they expanded and opened new stores they mostly hired young kids to do sales. A lot of the more experienced sales people left and went back to mainstream auto dealers where they could make more money on a commission basis.
